These Forgefix TechFast Roofing Screws are designed for use in joining timber to steel and for heavy section purlins. They have a Torx compatible, countersunk head to sit flush to the surface. The self-drilling point enables speedy insertion, and the wings create a clearance hole in the timber to eliminate the chance of 'jacking' when fixing.  The screws are zinc plated and have an 'Elementech' coating for superior anti-corrosion, which has been salt spray tested to 1,000 hours.  These heavy section roofing screws are suitable for fixing timber to steel thicknesses of 6.0mm to 12.5mm. Each pack is supplied with a free Torx compatible bit.

These Forgefix TechFast Hex Head Screws are designed specifically for fixing cladding and sheet metal to timber frame work. They have a Hex slash point head and are self-drilling for speedy insertion.  The screws have a rubber washer beneath the aluminium flange which expands under pressure and forms a permanent weather seal. They are zinc plated and have an 'Elementech' coating for superior corrosion resistance, which has been salt spray tested to 1,000 hours.

These Forgefix double slotted roofing bolts are supplied with square nuts and have a low profile mushroom head. Their bright zinc plated finish increases resistance to corrosion. The bolts are therefore suitable for both interior and exterior use, and can be exposed to weather conditions without the risk of rusting.  APPLICATION:Used in many applications other than roofing, when joining products together.Use clearance drill sizes 1mm larger than bolt diameter.  Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of the protected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this by forming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged. Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that (in contrast to iron oxide) does not trigger a breakdown of the substrate’s surface integrity as it is formed. The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as a barrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protection afforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxide layers.  With slotted screwdrivers it is important to ensure that the tip matches the width of the screw slot, otherwise you run the risk of damaging the screw head. Slotted screwdrivers are available with either Flared or Parallel tips. For the majority of uses the Flared tip is ideal but if the screw/bolt needs to be driven below the material surface a Parallel tip screwdriver should be used.

Forgefix TechFast Metal Roofing Panels to Timber Hex Screws are used to join metal roofing panels to timber frame buildings. They have a specially designed compression control thread to prevent damage and denting of panels. No pre-drilling is required and the self-drilling T17 Gash Point on screws makes for a rapid installation.  The nails are fire and corrosion resistant, protected by Elementech corrosion resistant coating, salt spray tested to 1000 hours. Complies with EU Safety, Health and Environmental requirements.  They are supplied with 16mm EPDM rubber washers.
