Cast Iron IE3 Multi-Voltage Three Phase Motors
Cast iron frame motors - IE3 (Premium Efficiency) three-phase motors. These motors exceed the IE3 New European Minimum Energy Performance Standard (EU MEPS). Thermisters fitted as standard in frame 160 and above. IP55 protection as standard (up to IP66 on request).  

Standard features: Top mounted terminal box with metric cable entries. Interchangeable with IEC metric motors. Class F insulation with class B temperature rise. Metal covers and stainless steel nameplate. Output: 0.12 to 500kW. Number of poles: 2, 4, 6 &amp; 8. Frequency: 50Hz. Voltages: 220 - 240/380 - 415V (up to 100L). 380 - 415/660V (from 112M and up). Frame sizes: 63 to 355. Colour: RAL 6002 Green.

The legislation timeline: This is the proposed timetable for the phased introduction of the EU MEPS legislation into the EU.
• 16th June 2011 - Stage 1: Motors must comply with IE2 efficiency level (previously EFF1).
• 1st January 2015 - Stage 2: Motors with a rated output of 7.5 - 375kW must comply with either IE3 efficiency level or IE2 if fitted with a Variable Speed Drive (VSD).
• 1st January 2017 - Stage 3: Motors with a rated output of 0.75 - 375kW must comply with either IE3 efficiency level or IE2 if fitted with a VSD.
