Pennine Heat Transfer Oils are based on specially selected solvent refined mineral oils with low
vapour pressure and excellent thermal stability and thermal conductivity. They offer consistently
high heat transfer performance and ease of circulation even when the system is started from cold.
Applications
These products are recommended for both pumped and conventional non-pressurised circulatory
heating systems. They are suitable for use in closed systems operating at bulk oil temperatures of
up to 320oC. If used in an open system, the maximum operating temperature would be 150oC.

Pennine Synspark FX is a high performance synthetic dielectric fluid for use in Electrical Discharge
Machines. It offers extended fluid life over conventional fluids due to its inherently superior
oxidation stability. Other benefits include low evaporation/volatility, rapid flushing due to low

Pennine Ultrasol X products represent a range of boron and formaldehyde release biocide free new
generation soluble metalworking fluids designed to comply with existing and pending REACh

Pennine Ultrasol X-929 is a full synthetic boron and formaldehyde release biocide free grinding fluid
which produces a transparent solution when mixed with water offering excellent workpiece visibility.
The product is an oil free concentrated chemical grinding fluid with excellent wetting properties
providing superior cooling and flushing characteristics and ensures that grinding wheels do not clog or
glaze. Ultrasol X-929 is low odour, very low foaming, provides excellent anti corrosion properties and
reduced sticky residues.
Applications
Pennine Ultrasol X-929 is recommended for surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, centreless grinding, 
and tool and cutter grinding on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including yellow metals and

Pennine Spark Erosion Fluids are high quality metalworking fluids designed for use in Electrical
Discharge Machines. Available in two viscosities, they are particularly suitable for the fine finishing
of small holes and cavities and ensure the efficient flushing of eroded particles away from the spark
zone.
Applications
Spark erosion Fluid "K" is used primarily as a dielectric fluid for spark erosion but can be used for
pressing, spinning, and reaming alloys and some free cutting bronzes.
Spark Erosion Fluid "A" is also used as a dielectric fluid for spark erosion and has a higher flash point.
It is used successfully to hone cast iron and in the high-speed precision machining of non-ferrous
metals

Metagrind LP has been developed for use in heavy duty form grinding operations such as flute grinding of cutting tools where high wheel speeds and feed rates are used. The main application for this product is in the grinding of solid carbide where its low viscosity combined with its high lubricity both reduce heat generated and cool the workpiece.

Other hard materials such as high-speed steel are also ground using this product where burning may be reduced significantly. The product is designed to effectively flush grinding fines from the machine helping to keep the machine clean. The low viscosity and excellent anti wear properties of this fluid also make it particularly suitable for honing operations including those on difficult materials.

Pennine Water Glycol Fluid C is a water glycol fire resistant hydraulic fluid combined with anti-oxidation
and anti-corrosion additives. It fulfils the “Seventh Luxembourg Report” of the European Mines and Safety
Commission: approval for deep mining applications by North Rhine-Westphalia regional superior mining
Authority.
Applications
Used in hazardous environments where leakage of conventional fluids would pose a serious fire hazard
and other areas where fire resistance is required in systems containing pumps with plain bearings or
lightly loaded ball and roller bearings. It is suitable for use in systems containing both ferrous and most
non-ferrous alloys. It is not suitable for use with either cadmium or zinc coatings and aluminium should
be hard anodised, aluminium rubbing contacts should be avoided. It may be used with synthetic rubber
hydraulic seals and packing such as Butyl, EPR, Viton, Nylon, Silicone, Buna, Neoprene and Natural
Rubber. Seals made with Cork or Leather should be avoided.

transparent stable solutions. The product is an oil free concentrated chemical grinding fluid with

do not clog or glaze. Pengrind GR is low odour with very low foaming characteristics and excellent anti
corrosion properties.
Applications
Pennine Pengrind GR is recommended for surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, centreless grinding, 
and tool and cutter grinding on mainly cast iron and ferrous feedstocks.

Pennine Micron SE is a specially developed neat metalworking fluid based on advanced
biodegradable ester technology. This environmentally friendly product is chlorine free, 
biodegradable, pale coloured and low odour and is relatively pleasant to use. It offers very high
lubricity, giving excellent surface finish, improved tool life and reduced power consumption.

Applications
Micron SE is suitable for use with all ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This versatile product is ideally
suited to oil mist applications, such as those commonly fitted to saws, where it’s low odour and low
toxicity give a more pleasant working environment and its high lubricity gives enhanced cutting
performance. Excellent thermal and oxidative stability also contribute to keeping the machine clean
and free from the gummy deposits associated with other fluids used in these applications.
This product is also suitable for severe grinding operations and can be used with all types of grinding
media but is especially effective with CBN which benefits from the improved lubricity.

Synspark FX High Performance Synthetic EDM Fluid 25L

Pennine Solvent Degreasing Fluid is a powerful solvent based, self-emulsifying, diphase degreaser.
It has excellent wetting and penetrating properties, and its carefully selected balance of surfactants
gives it excellent cleaning efficiency. This product not only efficiently removes oil and grease but
also effectively tackles most greasy dirt deposits. It works by dissolving oil, grease, and soluble dirt
and by suspending and dispersing insoluble dirt particles. The product is easily rinsed of with water
the course emulsion formed when the product is rinsed with water will separate, if allowed to stand, 
for ease of disposal.
Applications
Pennine Solvent Degreasing Fluid is recommended for use in industrial applications, such as
component servicing and reconditioning, to remove oil, grease, certain rust preventatives, carbon
deposits and general dirt. It is also recommended for automotive applications such as engine
degreasing and chassis cleaning and in a wide range of other applications in garages, civil and
production engineering industries and cleaning mobile and industrial plant.
The product may be applied by spray brush, dip or soaking, for best results the product should be
allowed to soak in then brushed in to dissolve the dirt and rinsed of with water, hose or pressure
wash. It may also be used in a free standing or drum mounted degreasing unit.
Availability
Pennine Solvent Degreasing Fluid is available in 205 litre barrels, 25 litre drums and 5 litre plastic
bottles.
Storage
Store in sealed containers and avoid extremes of temperature.

Spark Eriosion Fluid K Universal EDM Fluid 25L

Antifoam SB is an aqueous silicone emulsion and is designed to be effective in any aqueous system, 
particularly metalworking fluid emulsions and solutions. It is a white fluid which rapidly disperses
into a diluted fluid and is easily applied in low doses.
Applications
Antifoam SB is recommended for use as a foam control agent in conventional soluble oil emulsions, 
semi-synthetic emulsions and in fully synthetic machining and grinding fluid solutions and
emulsions. It should be used at concentrations of 5 to 50 ppm to improve the foaming characteristics
of metalworking emulsions.
Over application of Antifoam SB may make foaming (or air entrainment) worse. In situations where
foam is a problem, we recommend that Technical Services is consulted for advice.
