The Rotur Lace Bobbin Drive makes it easy to turn lace bobbins on a lathe without a chuck. The mouth of drive is 12mm square and tapers down to 7mm over a depth of 14.5mm.

First, insert the Lace Bobbin Drive into the headstock spindle. Put a square dowel rod in the taper in the mouth and support it with a rotating centre in the tailstock. Turn your desired shape of lace bobbin and part off at the headstock end. You can use this drive centre to make other small turning projects, not just lace bobbins. Available in 1MT and 2MT.

Are your traditional chuck jaws gripping well enough? When your workpiece flies off the lathe and smacks you straight in the face, it is not just annoying but also dangerous. You need to use the Rotur Multi-Chuck Faceplates. They fit into all common chucks and feature countersunk holes for big wood screws. Attach these faceplates onto the work, then the dovetailed rim will locate in the jaws of a multi-chuck.

The Rotur Piloted Drive / Counterbore Centre is suitable for all types of spindle work, but is also designed for long hole boring. The counterbore insert centers the drive centre in a 5/16" hole when making lamp stands. The 4-prong head is more suited for squared spindle ends so each prong has equal penetration in the timber for maximum grip. The head is relieved behind the flutes to prevent binding.

When the centre point insert is used, it protrudes further than the prongs for quick and easy alignment. The sharp point and prongs can easily penetrate the timber for a secure grip. The drive centre is easily removed from the lathe with the Rotur knockout bar (TKO265).

Supplied with inter-changeable point, counterbore, and hex key.

Rotur Piloted Drive 1" 4 Prong 3MT

The Rotur Multi-Chuck Drive Centre enables between-centre turning without unmounting the chuck. It fits in most woodturning chucks with the jaws still in place. The shank diameter is 18mm, with 2 and 4 prong versions available. As the head diameter is 1", the 4-prong head pattern is identical to the Rotur Hand Held Punch (014H).

Rotur 1" Multi-Chuck Drive 4 Prong

Putting an edge on your favorite chisel or plane iron blade is easy with the Planet Honing Guide. Position the tool in the guide to match your angle of grind and tighten. The guide rolls on top of the stone with the edge in contact with the stone. A few strokes later you have a razor sharp edge. It holds tools from 2mm to 65mm wide at a constant angle.

To use the guide:

Ensure that the roller rotates freely. Oil and clean it after use.
For honing a plane iron, use the wider jaws. To hold it at a 25° angle, project the end 50 mm (2") from the edge of the jaws. Furthermore, to hold it at a 30° angle, project the end 38 mm (1-1/2") from the edge of the jaws.
For honing a wood chisel, use the narrow jaws. To hold it at a 25° angle, project the end 40 mm (1-5/8") from the edge of the jaws. Furthermore, to hold it at a 30° angle, project the end 30 mm (1-3/16") from the edge of the jaws.
These measurements are cast on the guide for quick and easy sharpening
