Manufactured from chrome vanadium steel with hardened parallel opening jaws that are ground and polished, laser etched with metric graduations for rapid repeatable reference setting. The wide grooved profile of the opening mechanism and coarsely knurled adjusting screw ensures smooth adjustment. Fully insulated, conforms to EN 60900:2012 standards for safe electrical applications up to 1000V.

"We had a feeling this smart little tool would do well. The jaws, even when fully opened, had barely half a millimetres play in them. And the jaws themselves are grooved, which means they work very cleverly under load. As you'd expect, as more torque is applied, the jaws try to open slightly. But all this achieves is that the nut works its way upward and gets caught in the next available slot. Although this made rather a mess of our brass nut, it managed to loosen it even in the tough 6-flats tightness test."
