Small block plane suitable mainly for model makers 25° cutter angle. 35mm cutter width.

Block Planes
Suitable for end grain work or any application where single handed operation is required. The plane bodies are manufactured from fine grey iron ground and polished to a high quality finish. The cutter is set at a low angle this ensures vibration is kept to a minimum producing good results when used on plastic laminates and other man made materials. All have adjustable cutter alignment and depth of cut.

No. 4 Bailey
The bases of the planes are manufactured from cast fine grey iron. The unmachined parts are coated with a durable, high quality epoxy coating. High carbon steel polished and precision ground blade, brass adjusting nut and contoured handle. For general purpose applications and fine finishing of high quality work.

All Stanley replacement plane irons are made from chrome carbon steel which has excellent edge retention characteristics and allows a razor sharp edge to be honed.
All cutters are fine rotary ground to give a flat surface that is easier to sharpen.

Duplex 78
Base manufactured from fine grey iron accurately ground and polished. The cutter has two positions, central for normal work and front for bull nose work. The depth of cut is adjustable in the central cutter position. Supplied complete with cutting spur for cross grain work, adjustable fence and depth gauge.
Blade cutter width: 38mm (1 1/2”).

1-12-078 No 78 Duplex Rebate Plane 10"

This flat surform block plane is suited for use on all types of wood, aluminium, copper, plastics, and laminates. With a carbon steel body, the product comes supplied with a blade, but the blade can be replaced with product codes 021398 and 0121520. The wing nut holds the blade in place and can be changed without the need for tools.
